In third place is Elizabeth Francis with A New Year’s Hobby and a score of 13 points. You can read all three rhymes in our Blog.
Ruthless Ranking Process
In the competition to write a Ruthless Rhyme, 47 budding and flowering poets submitted 65 entries. Of these, 55 were long-listed and 12 short-listed by a panel of ten judges. A judge’s first choice scored five points, second choice three and third one. When all the judges had voted, their scores were entered in a spreadsheet and the top three rhymes automatically emerged. We will shortly publish profiles of the top-scoring poets, along with the names and brief profiles of the judges.
